Madison Senior Center and Ambulance Headquarters funding referendum, 2009
A senior center and ambulance headquarters funding referendum was on the May 19, 2009 ballot in New Haven County, Connecticut in the town of Madison., where it was approved. The ballot measure asks voters to decide on a $5.5 million funding package for a new center for seniors and ambulance headquarters. It will appear on the same ballot as the annual May budget referendum.[1] The referendum was approved.[2]
The $5.5 million covers the design, construction, furnishing, and equipping expenses of the proposed ambulance facility and the new senior center. If the referendum is approved, the senior center will be built first.[3]
In May 2007, voters rejected a $6.83 million proposal for the same projects.[1]
