Mafé Rajul
Mafé Rajul was a judge for Department 35 of the King County Superior Court in Washington. Rajul assumed office in 2018. Rajul left office on October 14, 2022.
Rajul won re-election for the Department 35 judge of the King County Superior Court in Washington outright after the general election on November 3, 2020, was canceled.
She was first appointed to the court by Democratic Gov. Jay Inslee to replace Judge Beth Andrus.[1]
Education
Rajul received a bachelor's degree and a J.D. from the University of Washington.[1]
Career
Prior to her appointment, Rajul served as a senior deputy prosecuting attorney in the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, as legal adviser for the Valley Narcotics Enforcement Team, and as lead prosecutor for the Repeat Burglar Initiative. She also worked for the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs in Honduras. She worked for 10 years as a certified court and medical interpreter and translator.[1]
