Maggie Salomon is a small-business owner, CPA-level accountant, bilingual community leader, and working mother of two daughters running to serve as Fort Bend County Commissioner for Precinct 4. Her commitment to public service is shaped by lived experience and a clear understanding of the issues everyday residents face.

In 2007, Maggie experienced a home invasion that permanently shaped her view of public safety. That experience made one thing clear: public safety is not a talking point and must always be budgeted for and prioritized. Families deserve to feel safe in their homes, and government has a responsibility to ensure law enforcement and emergency services are properly supported.

In 2017, Maggie’s home flooded during Hurricane Harvey, giving her firsthand experience with the devastation caused by inadequate flood mitigation and infrastructure. Like many Fort Bend families, she faced the long recovery process, reinforcing her belief that flood mitigation is not optional and must be proactively planned and funded.

Professionally, Maggie has spent years helping families and small businesses navigate finances, compliance, and budgeting. She has managed complex budgets, owned and operated a local dance studio, and worked in economic development supporting tourism initiatives that drive revenue, create jobs, and strengthen regional partnerships with the City of Houston.

Maggie believes leadership means being accessible, present, and unafraid of hard work.
