Magistrate Judge McQuaid to retire from federal court in Nevada

Las Vegas, Nevada: Magistrate Judge Robert McQuaid, Jr., of the United States District Court for the District of Nevada, plans to retire from the bench on September 2, 2011. He has served in this position since 1996. Prior to his judicial appointment, he worked as partner of the Reno-based law firm Georgeson, McQuaid, Thompson & Angaran. A replacement will be chosen by a majority vote of the district judges of the District of Nevada and will serve an eight-year term.[1]
