Magistrate Leavitt to leave the federal court

Las Vegas, Nevada: U.S. Magistrate Lawrence Leavitt has announced that he will retire from the United States District Court for the District of Nevada on October 7, 2011. He has worked in this position since 1987. Previously, he worked as a private practice lawyer, Clark County district attorney, chief assistant U.S. attorney and then as an attorney with the Organized Crime and Racketeering Strike force.[1]
