AUGUSTA, Maine: The Maine Supreme Judicial Court has ruled to reinstate former presidential candidates Ralph Nader's lawsuit against the Maine Democratic Party.[1] Nader's suit, which was previously thrown out by a lower court, involved a dispute that arose over Nader's efforts to get his name on Maine's 2004 ballot. Nader argues that the Maine Democratic Party conspired to use the courts to sabotage his campaign by keeping him off the ballot. Nader has made similar claims in over a dozen states. The high court ordered the case reinstated in Washington County. Now that the case has been reinstated, Nader says he wants a Maine jury to hear his case.[2]
