I’m running for Congress because Washington needs leaders who understand how policy lands on real people. After four terms in Augusta, chairing committees on innovation, economic development, and inland fisheries and wildlife, I’ve built a reputation for substance, accessibility, and practical solutions. This campaign is rooted in community conversations, not insider politics, and is focused on ensuring Maine’s voice is heard clearly in federal decision-making.

Maine needs a representative who sees where the economy is heading and understands how to position our state to thrive. In the Legislature, I’ve partnered across the aisle to strengthen local industries, support workforce housing, modernize regulations, and champion innovation. I bring lived experience that reflects the realities many families face. This campaign is about building opportunity, protecting affordability, and ensuring Maine’s future is shaped by the people who live here.

Our system works best when elections are competitive and voters have a real choice. I’m stepping forward to offer clear, forward-looking leadership for Maine’s future. My legislative work, on right-to-repair, small-business policy, rural economic development, and strengthening heritage industries, shows that progress comes from listening, doing the work, and refusing to accept “wait your turn” politics. This campaign brings accountability back to the center of representation.

Party: Republican Party

Incumbent: No

Submitted Biography "Pietrowicz for U.S. Congress represents a distinct change in the political environment. Joshua does not support, condone, or endorse slanderous and libelous political arena that currently plagues both sides of the isle. The Era of Political Theater and Gamesminship needs to come to close. This grave error which helps to routinely divide our great nation needs to be voted out one elected official at a time. Joshua isn't like most political figures blindly encouraging or endorsing Up and Down Ballot Races with Blanket Partisan Support. He believes in voting for the best candidate in every election from School Board to President in an attempt for live out the great expirement that is our More Perfect Union. Joshua humbly seeks out America First policies and values for the benefits of our fellow citizens. It would be arrogant and unwise to stand alone on the world stage, but he believes in helping, and giving to those in need. A young man that isn't afraid to offer a hand up, but is a Fiscal Hawk to guard against unchecked and overreaching hand outs. Joshua firmly believes in individual liberty, and the rights of private citizens, and he understands that they are to be protected from overreaching big government."

Key Messages

Joshua's top priority has always and will always to continue to be in the interest of protecting our National Security and our Nations Sovereignty. Joshua is strong advocate of supporting U.S. Trade domestically and abroad. He understands that a nation without borders will simply no longer exist given enough time. Global Trade occurs primarily over the ocean. On the high seas things can be unpredictable, but the one thing that should be a steady constant is that the U.S. Navy and Coast Gaurd should always be well funded, equipped, and staffed to ensure that American interests are protected, and that U.S. Citizens can travel safely internationally without fear of piracy, or Intimidation from known American Adversaries like China.

The measurements of a healthy economy shouldn't always be about GDP or a Roaring Stock Market. Rather it's about the purchasing power of the American Consumer. The growing wealth and growing income of the middle and lower classes is far more important to the strength of our nation than the Rich Billionaires, Mega Corporations, and Elite Oligarchs growing their vast sums of wealth. Joshua Pietrowicz will be a Fighter for Real American Families, and their ability to afford to live a good life in the same America that they were born in as well and to raise a family that is able to live happily for generations to come. Inflation has been rampant and needs to be addressed so that Americans can afford to live in America.

Preservation of our Rights. Joshua Pietrowicz is a Candidate that isn't for the faint of heart. He understands that cycle after cycle, day after day Washington Insiders, Politicians, and Special Interests work day and night to errode the rights of our Citizens. Joshua firmly believes that the 2nd Amendment is the single greatest protection of the rights cherished by so many Americans. The First Amendment Protections given to Americans are never more than one generation away from extinction, and the 2nd Amendment is a critical protection and safeguard to our nation. Joshua will never support any legislation that errodes, strips, or nullifys our rights. He is a determined fighter to protect the Freedoms of our Republic.

Joshua is a passionate supporter of reforms in the Medical, Insurance, and Healthcare Systems He believes in a Universal Medicare for All System. However he doesn't support State Run Systems but rather is in favor of sweeping changes at the Federal Level. The reason Joshua holds this belief is because he believes that collectively the United States has the means, and the authority to stand up to Big Pharma, and Big Tech Monopolies that leach off our most Vulnerable Citizens, and he isn't afraid to call a spade a spade. Even if it makes the Washington Fat Cats feel uncomfortable. If elected Joshua's vote would be entrusted to support a new system more equipped to firmly condemn price gouging, and ensure affordable healthcare.
I’m passionate about public policy that strengthens economic opportunity, protects affordability, and supports the communities that keep Maine moving. My work spans innovation and small-business development, workforce and housing, digital policy, and the heritage industries that define our state. I focus on practical, future-focused solutions, from right-to-repair and consumer protection to fisheries, forestry, and rural development. Above all, I care about policies that make daily life more stable, more affordable, and more hopeful for Maine families.

General election race ratings

See also: Race rating definitions and methods

Ballotpedia provides race ratings from four outlets: The Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, Sabato's Crystal Ball, and DDHQ/The Hill. Each race rating indicates if one party is perceived to have an advantage in the race and, if so, the degree of advantage:

  • Safe and Solid ratings indicate that one party has a clear edge and the race is not competitive.
  • Likely ratings indicate that one party has a clear edge, but an upset is possible.
  • Lean ratings indicate that one party has a small edge, but the race is competitive.[1]
  • Toss-up ratings indicate that neither party has an advantage.

Race ratings are informed by a number of factors, including polling, candidate quality, and election result history in the race's district or state.[2][3][4]
