I’m running for Congress because Washington needs leaders who understand how policy lands on real people. After four terms in Augusta, chairing committees on innovation, economic development, and inland fisheries and wildlife, I’ve built a reputation for substance, accessibility, and practical solutions. This campaign is rooted in community conversations, not insider politics, and is focused on ensuring Maine’s voice is heard clearly in federal decision-making.

Maine needs a representative who sees where the economy is heading and understands how to position our state to thrive. In the Legislature, I’ve partnered across the aisle to strengthen local industries, support workforce housing, modernize regulations, and champion innovation. I bring lived experience that reflects the realities many families face. This campaign is about building opportunity, protecting affordability, and ensuring Maine’s future is shaped by the people who live here.

Our system works best when elections are competitive and voters have a real choice. I’m stepping forward to offer clear, forward-looking leadership for Maine’s future. My legislative work, on right-to-repair, small-business policy, rural economic development, and strengthening heritage industries, shows that progress comes from listening, doing the work, and refusing to accept “wait your turn” politics. This campaign brings accountability back to the center of representation.

My work spans innovation and small-business development, workforce and housing, digital policy, and the heritage industries that define our state. I focus on practical, future-focused solutions, from right-to-repair and consumer protection to fisheries, forestry, and rural development. Above all, I care about policies that make daily life more stable, more affordable, and more hopeful for Maine families.

General election race ratings

See also: Race rating definitions and methods

Ballotpedia provides race ratings from four outlets: The Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, Sabato's Crystal Ball, and DDHQ/The Hill. Each race rating indicates if one party is perceived to have an advantage in the race and, if so, the degree of advantage:

  • Safe and Solid ratings indicate that one party has a clear edge and the race is not competitive.
  • Likely ratings indicate that one party has a clear edge, but an upset is possible.
  • Lean ratings indicate that one party has a small edge, but the race is competitive.[1]
  • Toss-up ratings indicate that neither party has an advantage.

Race ratings are informed by a number of factors, including polling, candidate quality, and election result history in the race's district or state.[2][3][4]
