Maine Gas Tax Increase, Referendum Question No. 2 (1929)

The Maine Gas Tax Increase People's Veto, also known as Referendum Question No. 2, was on the September 9, 1929 ballot in Maine as a veto referendum, where it was defeated. The measure would have increased gasoline taxes to five cents per gallon.[1][2]
