Maine Port Facilities Bond Issue, Amendment No. 3 (1919)

The Maine Port Facilities Bond Issue Referendum, also known as Amendment No. 3, was on the September 8, 1919 ballot in Maine as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure provided for a bond issue for the purposes of building and maintaining public wharves and for the establishment of adequate port facilities.[1][2] This created Sections 18 and amended Section 14 of Article IX of the Maine Constitution.[3]
