The Maine Prohibit Fluoride in Public Water Initiative did not appear on the November 2, 2010 statewide ballot in Maine as an initiated state statute. The measure proposed prohibiting fluoride in public water supplies. Supporters failed to submit the required signatures to qualify the measure for the ballot, according to the Maine Secretary of State's office, as of February 9, 2010.
Path to the ballot
In order to place the measure on the 2010 ballot a minimum of 55,087 valid signatures were required by February 1, 2010.
