Maine Senate confirms judicial appointments

AUGUSTA, Maine: The Maine State Senate has finalized the confirmation of a district prosecutor and a family court magistrate as district court judges.[1] Governor of Maine Paul LePage had nominated both Evert Fowle Jr. of Vassalboro and Nancy D. Carlson of Dixfield as district court judges.[2] Fowle was formerly a district attorney for Kennebec and Somerset counties, while Carlson has served as a family court magistrate since 1998.[1]
