The Maine Sewerage Facilities Construction Bond Issue, also known as Question 6, was on the November 7, 1989 ballot in Maine as a legislatively referred bond question, where it was approved.[1] The measure issued $4.4 million in bonds for sewerage facilities construction. The estimated interest on the bonds at 6.25 percent over 5 years was $825,000.[2][3]

Background

Three prior legislatively referred bond questions in the 1980s had provided general funding for similar sewage facilities construction projects. This included $12 million in 1986, $8.3 million in 1987 and $12 million in 1988.[1]
