The Maine State's Borrowing Power Referendum, also known as Proposed Constitutional Amendment No. 8, was on the September 10, 1951 ballot in Maine as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure clarified the state's borrowing power. This repealed and replaced Section 14 of Article IX of the Maine Constitution with some exceptions.
