Maine State Government Administration, Referendum Question (1931)

The Maine State Government Administration People's Veto, also known as Referendum Question, was on the November 9, 1931 ballot in Maine as a veto referendum, where it was approved. The measure changed the structure and name of the Sea and Shore Fisheries Commission to the new Department of Sea and Shore Fisheries. The three member commission and the office of director were abolished and replaced with a single commissioner appointed by the Governor effective July 1, 1932.[1][2][3]
