Maine University Buildings, Bond Issue 3 (1984)
The Maine University Buildings Bond Issue, also known as Bond Issue 3, was on the November 6, 1984 ballot in Maine as a legislatively referred bond question, where it was approved.[1] The measure authorized $16.5 million in bonds for buildings at the University of Maine. This included $3 million for a chemical engineering addition and $3 million for a biological sciences addition at University of Maine Orono. It also included $3.5 million for a classroom building at University of Southern Maine. Additionally, $1 million was allocated for handicapped accessibility, $3 for renovations and $ 3 million for computer facilities at all campuses.[2][3]
