Maine ballot measure order set for November 2 ballot
July 9, 2010
AUGUSTA, Maine: About four months from the November 2, 2010 statewide election Maine officials have set the order for ballot measures. As required by law, all people's veto and citizens' initiative issues are always placed before bond issues on the ballot. Since only one citizen initiative qualified for the ballot, a public drawing was held on July 8 to establish the order of the proposed bond measures.[1][2] The measures on the November ballot will appear as follows:
Type | Title | Subject | Description |
---|---|---|---|
CISS | Question 1 | Gambling | Calls for a casino in Oxford, Maine |
LRSS | Question 2 | Bond issues | Regarding increasing access to dental care and education in Maine |
LRSS | Question 3 | Bond issues | Regarding investment in land conservation and working waterfront preservation |
