Do you believe that it's beneficial for representatives to have previous experience in government or politics?
It can be. But I feel like a representatives' moral and ethical compass is far more important when it comes to making decisions that affect us all.
What do you perceive to be the United States’ greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?
Ending the racism and entitlement that has been ignited by the Trump administration. Keeping foreign influence out of our elections. Ensuring that we support our Native populations and protect sacred sites. Providing equal rights for us all.
If you are not a current representative, are there certain committees that you would want to be a part of?
Natural Resources, Government Oversight and Healthcare.
Do you believe that two years is the right term length for representatives?
I believe it should be longer.
What are your thoughts on term limits?
We should empower more candidates to run for office to make changeover easier when necessary.
Both sitting representatives and candidates for office hear many personal stories from the residents of their district. Is there a story that you’ve heard that you found particularly touching, memorable, or impactful?
Every story that I hear from constituents of my district has been touching, heartbreaking, joyful and terrifying, often all within the same story. I am proud of the resilience of the people of my district, and want to dedicate my terms as their representative to making their lives easier in any way that I can.
