Maitland City Amendment 13: City Accounts Audit was approved on the March 12, 2013 election ballot in Orange County, which is in Florida.
This measure amended the Maitland City Charter to ensure consistency with State Law with regard to selected an accountant to audit city accounts by requiring selection based on a competitive bid process.[1]

“ | Shall the Maitland Charter be amended to ensure consistency with State Law by requiring that City Council, when selecting a certified public accountant or accounting firm to audit city accounts, select such professional or firm through the competitive bid process, even if such professional or firm serves for three or less years and even if the selection is made within sixty (60) days of after the beginning of a fiscal year?[1][2] | ” |
