Maitland City Amendment 20: Council-Appoint Positions Term Length was approved on the March 12, 2013 election ballot in Orange County, which is in Florida.
This measure amended the Maitland City Charter to establish term limits of two consecutive terms for any permanent board, commission or agency appointed by the City Council. Any term less than 2 years would not constitute a full term and would not count towards the two consecutive term limit.[1]

“ | Shall the Maitland Charter be amended to create Section 5.06 which will impose a limit of two (2) consecutive terms in office of approximately three (3) years each for members of any permanent board, commission, or agency appointed by City Council and the time served by such person appointed or elected to such board, commission, or agency shall not constitute a full term of office if such term does not exceed two (2) years?[1][2] | ” |
