Malena Raymond
Malena Raymond was a member of the Washoe County School District Board of Trustees in Nevada, representing District D. Raymond assumed office in 2016. Raymond left office on January 12, 2021.
Raymond ran for re-election to the Washoe County School District Board of Trustees to represent District D in Nevada. Raymond won in the general election on November 8, 2016.
Biography
Raymond's career experience includes working as a nonprofit professional. She obtained a bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder.[1]
Elections
2016
Five of the seven seats on the Washoe County School District school board were up for general election on November 8, 2016. Districts A, D, E, and G held primary elections. District C held a special election in conjunction with the general election for a seat with a two-year term. In District A, incumbent Scott Taylor won the seat in the primary election by obtaining more than 50 percent of the vote and defeating Dale Richardson and Colleen Doenges. District E did not appear on the general election ballot either, as incumbent Angie Taylor defeated Paula Ward and Carlos Ledon by obtaining more than 50 percent of all votes cast.
In District D, Malena Raymond defeated Kenneth Grein in the general election after defeating Lauren Hacker, Kathleen Little-Bolotin, Brock Marquez, and Emily Reese in the primary election. Katy Simon Holland won the District E seat after defeating Bill Horn in the general election and David DeSilva, Greg Hudson, Helm Lehmann, Mike Mieras, Michael Millerick, and Jack Milon in the primary election.
There was no primary election for the open seat in District C. Debra Feemster defeated Len Stevens, Greg Hudson, Carol Alice Evans, and Allen Elser in the general election.[2]

Funding
Raymond reported $34,425.00 in contributions and $21,748.59 in expenditures to the Nevada Secretary of State, which left her campaign with $12,676.41 on hand as of November 3, 2016.[3]
