Manhattan Public Library District building referendum, 2009
A Manhattan Public Library District building referendum took place on April 7, 2009 in Will County for voters in the Manhattan Public Library District in Illinois.[1] The measure was defeated, with 868 votes in support and 1,982 against. [2]
The Manhattan Public Library District serves Manhattan, Manhattan Township, Elwood and Jackson Township.
Voters were asked to approve construction of two buildings, one in Elwood and one in Manhattan.
