Marc Bernabei is a judge of the Thirteenth Circuit Court in Illinois.[1] He was elected to the bench in 1998.[2] Bernabei was retained in the general election on November 8, 2016.

Education

Bernabei earned a B.A. from Lewis University, going on to receive his J.D. from Northern Illinois University in 1981.[2]

Career

Bernabei also worked for several years in private practice with the law firm of Bruno P. Bernabei & Associates. Before law school, he was a police officer.[2]

Judges of the Illinois Circuit Court stand for retention after their first full term. To be retained, a judge must receive at least 60 percent of the vote.[3][4] Marc Bernabei was retained in the Illinois Thirteenth Circuit Court, Marc Bernabei Retention Election with 81.48 percent of the vote.
