Education

Brown received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center.[1]

Career

Prior to joining the Court of Appeals in 2013, Brown was a judge on the 180th District Court, a position to which he was elected in 2010. Prior to that, he was an assistant district attorney in Harris County.[1][2]

Brown ran for re-election to the Fourteenth District Court of Appeals.
Primary: He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014.
General: He won without opposition in the general election on November 4, 2014. [3][4] 

2010

Brown ran for election to the district court in 2010. He won the primary runoff election on April 13, 2010 against Danny Dexter for the Republican spot on the November ballot. He next defeated Democratic candidate Darrell Jordan in the general election, winning 57% of the vote.[2][5]
