I believe hard work, personal responsibility, and consistency always trump excuses, government handouts, and a victim mentality. Generally speaking if you complain more than you produce, you’re typically on the Left; and if you produce more than you complain, you’re typically on the right. I refuse to stand by and watch our State continue to go down the road of ruin from governmental intrusion, Unconstitutional overreach, excessive taxation, and the loss of individual freedoms like property and water rights. I believe change is actually still possible and I’m willing to fight for it; and I know I’m not alone in that endeavor. I will never forget that I am nothing more, and nothing less than a Public Servant. I will take my oath of office just as somberly and as seriously as I have on numerous other occasions and never allow, vote for, or support any governmental action that hinders or obstructs a Citizen’s constitutional rights. As Your County Commissioner I will strive to enact the will of the People over Partisan Politics and self serving Bureaucracy. I have the passion and the determination to represent Okanogan County business owners, land owners, and all other residents; and to put THEIR needs first! I promise to always remember that I am a Public Servant who serves at the will of the people and not special interest groups and am therefore asking for the honor of receiving your Vote and Support, to carry our County into a prosperous and fruitful future.
  • We should NEVER allow another Gubernatorial -30day Emergency Powers Act- to turn into three years of business destruction and autocratic overreach. Commissioners should speak up for their Citizens and support commonsense Legislators in Olympia who are attempting to bring reform and constitutional control over the Emergency Powers Act by:

Sponsoring House Bill (HB-1557) and openly debate it on the House floor. Continue to discuss this issue at news conferences, on Social Media, and other communicative outlets. Advocate for open, in-person inclusive legislative sessions, and seek for special sessions to deal specifically with this issue.

And voicing public and open opposition of any type of forced medical care, or forced vaccinations.
  • In WA State we've lost 3,717 farms and ranches in the last five years equating to 102,000 food producing acres. And the Ag industry is expected to see a decrease from 2023’s $155 Billion dollar production income down to a $116 Billion, or a 25.5% decline! We need to avoid crushing our Farmers and Ranchers with excessive taxes, exacting fees, and burdensome regulations. We need to assist them with incentives or other creative ways to help establish a -Farm to Market- type service so they deal directly with the Consumer, avoid the middle man, and keep more profit in their pocket while providing something of value while also doing so at an affordable price.
  • 77% of the County is currently owned by some State, Tribal, or Federal Agency. This means we are being forced to accomplish all necessary residential, municipal, agricultural, industrial, and economic land development within just 23% of the County's available land. I believe a sustainable development policy has to look at existing wants/needs of a Community/County and their desire to develop businesses, residences, agricultural endeavors, and other private or public projects alongside of the potential impact upon said Community/County; but always doing so while safeguarding the ability to possess and maintain personal property rights so that no person shall, “…be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.”
I stand firm against any and all policies having a negative impact on our freedoms, livelihood, and conservative values. I will fight for Parents to always be the Primary Stakeholders in their children's education, NOT the "Nanny State." I will be transparent and honest with the Citizens I represent & serve, and demand County Government to do the same. I will not participate in "back door deals" or other self serving mediations that only promote Govt instead of the betterment of the People. I will fight for the rights and practices that best suit our ability to live free, raise families, retain private property rights, and keep as much of our hard earned dollars as possible in our pockets.
Nearly everyone of our founding fathers; especially those who basically sacrificed everything and ultimately lost their lives for the solidification of our freedoms.
I am also very impacted by men and women who have been willing to die for their belief in Jesus Christ and have devoted themselves to following Him to the best of their abilities, and to promoting timeless principles and ideologies like sacrifice, morality, empathy towards others, it's better to give than receive, and eternal verities will always outweigh earthly vanities.
The Declaration of Independence, the Unites States Constitution, and the WA State Constitution.
Integrity, Transparency, Honesty, Dependability, Fortitude, and the Courage to do what's right even in the face of opposition or adversity.

I recognize that the time for Politics as Usual to end is NOW. I will be transparent and honest with the Citizens I represent & serve at all times, and demand all County Government to do the same. I will take my Oath of Office seriously and operate with the understanding that the legitimate power of Government begins and ends with the Consent of the Governed.
I will remember that those holding Public Office are nothing more than Public Servants who are appointed to serve at the will of the People and not their own interests.

My deep seated desire to preserve individual liberty, our Constitutional rights, and to positively impact the lives of the Citizens of this County have compelled me to seek public office and strive for the kinds of changes so desperately needed and asked for, for far too long, by the people of Okanogan County.
Very early in life I learned the value of having a strong work ethic due to being raised in an impoverished home and seeing firsthand that laziness, excuses, and taking virtually zero responsibility for your own future and actions will lead to a wasted and non productive life. Therefore, I have always expected the highest from others, because I’ve always expected the highest from myself in every job or Leadership position I’ve ever held, and in every business I’ve ever owned and operated.

During my six years in the Marine Corps I learned the value of true Leadership and what it means to, “Lead from the front.” In other words, I would never task my men with something that I myself was not willing to do as well.
From my career in Law Enforcement I learned how to think on my feet, make life altering split decisions in the blink of an eye, how to control my emotions and fear in highly stressful situations & circumstances, and how to stand strong in the face of adversity and maintain a high standard of integrity while encountering amoral and unethical behaviors from superiors; including corruption, unlawful activities, and fallacious and spurious allegations against my own person.
I believe nobody should be paid an honest day’s wage unless they’ve performed an honest day’s labor. And the same is true for governmental agencies and their individual agents as well as their employees. If waste, fraud, and abuse is not tolerated in the Private Sector (for it will eventually lead to bankruptcy and ruin) then it should also never be tolerated in the Public Sector as well.

I believe every meaningful conversation should seek to find the truth, not only seek to “be right.” In that vein, I am honest to a fault; which means I am willing to admit I may not be the proverbial “smartest man in the room.” Which means I am teachable, willing to learn & extensively research a topic or issue, and willing to work with others who may be better informed than I am.
As I said previously, to act on behalf of the People they represent, never forgetting that they derive their just powers simply from the will of those they govern and that they have been appointed to essentially ask themselves, "Will this action, policy, or ordinance better the lives of the Citizens of this County?" And if the answer is, "No;" then I will simply respond by stating, "Then why are we doing it?"
One wherein my constituents would say, "While Marc Doney served as our County Commissioner he was truly a Public Servant and NOT a governmental bureaucrat."
I remember when Ronald Regan swept the country and became our 40th President when I was only 10 years old.
I also remember how our house and the ground shook like an earthquake when St. Helens blew up in 1980.
I've had many "jobs" as a very young man (weeding, mowing, yard work, etc.), but my first official job was picking strawberries, raspberries, and cucumbers for local farmers. Me and my brothers would work every summer at these jobs to earn money for school clothes. And then at the age of 14 I worked with the Forestry department cleaning park trails and campgrounds.
The Bible. It's the greatest book ever written and provides us with the final repository of redemptive revelation of God, our Creator revealing Himself to humanity, and providing us with the greatest and most effective explanation for not only why we are here, but how we should live, and where we are going.
I don't know; maybe some kind of explorer or adventurer like Natty Bumpoo in the Last of the Mohicans.
Crossing the border, Resurrection Band
Dealing with the aches and pains that come with age and realizing that while you can certainly control some of the process and try and stay as healthy and active as possible, there are other aspects that are completely outside your control (e.g. arthritis, unexpected accidents, torn tendons, etc.).
"The government is efficient and always has your best interest at heart."

Second favorite: "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help."
None as of yet, several are still pending.
Government is beholden to the People, not the other way around. And the People retain all God-given rights and privileges granted to them by their Creator and protected by our Constitution.

Government, on the other hand, has been restricted in power and scope by the People, not the other way around. Therefore, Government is to be an "open book" and the People have a right to know at all times what it is their government is doing, implementing, spending, and allocating for the supposed public good.

A political body that acts towards its own best interest has at its core forgotten its duty and responsibility to exercise the will of those free citizens who gave it is power and duty in the first place.
