As a long-time Laramie resident, I invite you to join me in working to improve the quality of life in our community and across the state. I feel fortunate to have grown up in Laramie, a close-knit community with friendly people, a top-notch University, vibrant business community, and gateway to the great outdoors. I earned a BS in Psychology, BA in American Studies, and a Master's of Public Administration from the University of Wyoming. I have years of experience working as an educator, and as a policy advocate and project manager in the non-profit sector. As Wyoming Kids Count Director, I championed policies aimed at improving the lives of children and family in the state. Active in the community, I currently serve as a member of the City of Laramie's Planning Commission, and am taking a leave of absence as a board member for Laramie Reproductive Health. I have been married to my wife of 22 years, Azize who works as a scientist, and we are the proud parents of two teenage children.
  • Healthcare: Ensuring access to affordable health care empowers workers who are the unsung heroes behind statewide economic success, and healthy kids have better outcomes in school and later when joining the workforce.
  • Education: While the legislature deserves praise for the Hathaway scholarship, we need to build a quality education from early childhood through post-secondary schools so we can have an even bigger impact.
  • Public Lands: Outdoor education, keeping public lands public and open to recreation, and protecting water resources are essential to ensure the Wyoming we've raised our kids to know and love is the Wyoming they'll pass on to their kids.
Some of the issues that I stand for are healthcare for all, quality education from pre-k through higher education, sustainable economic and energy development to add new jobs and protect the natural world, keeping public lands in public hands. My aim is to empower our community, representing the interests of the people of Albany County and the State of Wyoming to improve the overall economic outlook and quality of life in our great State.
My mother and father. Active in local policy issues and politics. Good values.
Study and understand the issues. This should include outreach and direct communication with constituents and other stakeholders. Legislators should be honest and demonstrate integrity.
It is very important to pass legislation that will improve the lives of people in our communities.
Help Wyoming evolve and improve so the State has the resources and policies in place to help foster opportunity and improve the lives of people. Help improve the economic outlook for the state so that more people can enjoy a higher level of sustainable prosperity.
Bringing a fresh perspective is important. It's also very important to have a commitment to helping your community. I believe my background in policy advocacy and public administration has prepared me to be an outstanding representative for my community.
Strengthening the economy and transitioning to sustainable energy sources that will lower the impact on the environment.

Providing a stronger safety net including universal health care.

Sustaining the State's commitment to education.

Ensuring equal rights for all citizens.

Yes. It is important for legislators to make the greatest effort to work with others regardless of their political affiliation.
