Marc was born and raised in Washington, DC growing up less than 5 miles from the US Capitol. He attended public and private schools. Marc is a proud, honorably discharged US Naval veteran with over 25 years of healthcare experience post military. He is the son of a nurse and Trinidadian born Hilton retiree and foreign consulate worker. Marc’s background naturally is healthcare and international affairs. Having grown up in Washington has given Marc a perspective of seeing the political climate up close. He’s even worked on a few campaigns of local DC politicians. Although, many aren’t really local in the nation’s capital. Through Marc’s work in healthcare, he has traveled to 48 of the 50 states, several territories and several countries on 3 continents. Included in that family history and background are several educators at various levels, law enforcement, military and more than a few blue-collar workers. With so much time in healthcare, which is arguably the most diverse group of occupations and people it gives a broad spectrum of knowing and understanding people. Saying Marc is well-rounded and well-versed is an understatement. Marc’s entire life has been about service to his community and country. Marc understands people.
  • Healthcare. It encompasses so much. It's so much more than just getting a vaccine or not. While that is apart, we cannot continue to neglect mental health the rising suicide rates, women's health and veterans' health.
  • Our nation cannot sustain the current pace of unaffordable housing. It's not getting better. It's getting worse. Arizona has reached a 15 year high with over 7000 evictions. Homeless is increasing and getting worse.
  • Arizona is in the midst of a water crisis. We must find solutions beyond the Colorado River for water. Allowing a Middle East nation to use our water is not the answer.
Just about every issue we have in country can be directly tied to healthcare. I personally think this is where we can do better. Homelessness, abortion, suicide, crime and even education all have direct links to healthcare. The sooner we realize this, the sooner we can start working on tackling and ultimately fixing these issues.
