“ | Governing Board Member Marcia Duncan does not assert the authority of her board member position to ensure transparency and accountability to the public, despite this being her most important responsibility as a board member. She repeatedly ignores agenda item requests from other board members, offering no explanation for her action. She is insensitive and non-responsive to the expressed needs and concerns of school district employees.[4] | ” |

“ |
Education has been an important part of my life. I was a teacher for 38 years. I have a master's degree in Administration and Upon retirement, I served on the Board of Filucation in Gunnison, Colorado for 8 years. Shortly after I moved to Ajo, I was elected to be a of the Ajo Unified School Board. I have been on the Board for 9 years, the last three years as Board President. During this tenure, the Board ran smoothly, and the Board appreciated the work of the Staff that significantly increased the graduation rate for the Ajo High School and improved our school grades as well. l am sorry Board Member Windy Robertson and her husband think that I am not qualified for this position. A recall is a serious charge which I feel is unwarranted. However, regardless of the outcome of this accusation, I pledge to the of Ajo that I will continue to support the children of this town and help guide their education.[4] |
