Biography

Education

Marcia Henry earned a bachelor's degree, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania. She earned a J.D. from the New York University School of Law.[1]

Professional career

Prior to joining the court, Henry's career experience included working at the New York State Department of Financial Services in the Cybersecurity Division, as an Assistant U.S. Attorney with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, as a lawyer with Seyfarth Shaw LLP and Rao Tiliakos LLP in New York, and in human resources and diversity program management with J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. Henry served as a law clerk with U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit Judge Carl Stewart, and with U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York Judge Sterling Johnson, Jr.[1]

Henry has been affiliated with the Metropolitan Black Bar Association and the Federal Bar Council. She has served as a director with the Federal Bar Foundation and a team liaison with the Federal Bar Council’s American Inn of Court.[1]
