Marcia J. Sikowitz is a judge for the New York City Housing Court of Kings County, New York. She was appointed to this position in June of 1998 and was reappointed in 2003, 2008 and 2013.[1][2][3]

Education

Sikowitz received her B.A. from Harper College of the State University of New York Binghamton in 1973. She then earned her M.A. from Long Island University in 1975 and her J.D. from the Cardozo School of Law in 1981.[1]

Career

Prior to her judicial career, Sikowitz worked as: a private practice general civil litigation lawyer; a court attorney to Judge Gustin Reichbach, Judge Margaret Cammer and Judge Carol Arber; a staff attorney for New Hampshire Legal Assistance; a staff attorney for Legal Services for the Elderly Poor; and a staff attorney for the Brooklyn Law School Legal Services for the Elderly. She was appointed a judge of the Housing Court in 1998.[1]
