Marcia L. Thomas was a 2014 candidate for the 54th Judicial Circuit in Boone and Gallatin counties in Kentucky.[1]

Thomas ran for election to the 54th Judicial Circuit.
Primary: She was successful in the primary on May 20, 2014, receiving 25.9 percent of the vote. She competed against Howard L. Tankersley, Edward Drennen, and Rick A. Brueggemann.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 43.1 percent of the vote. She competed against Rick A. Brueggemann. [1][2] 

2010

Thomas lost her bid for election to the 54th Judicial Circuit Court in 2010. She ran against incumbent Judge Stephen P. Huddleston and candidates Rick A. Brueggemann, Keith A. McMain, and Jeff Smith. Thomas lost in the primary election.[3]

Education

Thomas received her undergraduate degree from Lewis University in 1990 and her J.D. degree from the Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University in 1993.[4]

Career

Thomas has worked at her private law practice for the past nineteen years and has served as an assistant county attorney for Boone County for sixteen years.[4]
