I’ve run multiple conferences from education to raising awareness about trafficking. I’ve served on the APS Student Health Advisory Committee & Task Force from 2010-2013. I’ve documented the research found in these committees to relay the information to the public. I’ve used my expertise to educate parents and organizations on multiple levels and areas. I’ve been a parent advocate and a voice for children across the board for over 15 years. I’ve investigated bills as they come through the NM Legislature to compare them to the US & NM Constitutions.
After the abuses of the current administration, I became even more committed to exposing the hypocrisy of those in Santa Fe, showing that the saying, “Absolute power corrupts absolutely,” rings true, especially in New Mexico. That is why I am running. To return New Mexico back to a place that respects its citizens and does not abuse them.- Fredrick Douglas said, “Education means emancipation. It means light and liberty...the light by which men can only be made free.” But when school districts such as APS spend over $2.1 Billion/year, and it lands NM #52/50, I think we need to re-evaluate what is being taught. We've seen an uptick of indoctrination, rather than teaching the basics, tools our children need to succeed in life. But instead, their precious time is used for pushing certain agendas. Extending hours leads to child and teacher fatigue. Adding extra DEI or SEL subjects do not empower children, but add more distractions to what they need to be truly emancipated. Children should not be any group's social experiment. The goal is to help them to succeed in life.
- I've watched this city and state be destroyed by the current public policies on crime. When our police are told to stand down to criminals, the public is left unprotected. And our men & women in Blue become demoralized when they are blamed for decisions from above. When our businesses are told they are at fault for having products that others want to steal, one has to seek out the source of where these decisions are coming from. NM Politics have been dominated by the Democrats for over 90 years. Perhaps it's time for a change. The rule of law is what puts a society in order, but it has been trampled on in every Democrat office, just because they can. That needs to stop.
- The Border. MLG's first order of business in 2019 was to remove the NG from our southern border.& what did we hear 4-27-24? "I don't have a single border patrol agent at Sunland Park." The situation is so bad that democrats are finally admitting there's a problem, but will never admit that they caused it. No one wants anyone to come into their home uninvited. That goes for our country. We're upwards of 15M people flooded in just a few short years. 1/3 of the women & children are raped. This is not compassionate. Our ranchers have been killed. For what? To, according to those invading, "to vote for Biden." This in unsustainable. It is planned. & New Mexicans are suffering.
As stated earlier, our educational system has been failing our students. This will only enslave our students and our voting population. Tyrannical leaders love nothing but to have a populous that will never questions them or understand what they are doing. Tossing quips like, "Math is racist," is a great distraction to keep eye off of the money whereabouts. After all, who wants to be called a racist?
An elected official needs to be able to base decisions on the rule of law, not the latest opinion, or the party line. Bullying or intimidating or bribery has ZERO place among elected officials.
Elected officials should also be in communication with their constituents, and meet with them, not just during elections.
Bills enacted must be for the benefit of the people, no matter which side is in charge.
Dr Martin Luther King, Jr differentiated between a just and an unjust law: a just law squares with moral code & it will benefit people no matter who is in charge, where as a unjust law only benefits some people when one group is in charge.
The legislative office writes the bills. One should be able to write as well as parse bills for irregularities and errors. Open and rigorous discussion should be encouraged to be able to communicate possible issues that may be foreseen.
The pandemic set our students back at least 3 years. Lock downs nearly destroyed their socio, emotional, &psychological growth. I'd recommend a fun reading program to be held at the libraries all over the state. There are some students still wearing masks, not because they are sick, but because they were groomed to believe that they were a good person if they obeyed someone blindly. When we lose one 11 year old to suicide because of isolation from this, we had better look long and hard to make sure this NEVER happens again!
Economy: Video our streets with businesses, and ask yourself 1) what is the percentages of numbers of businesses that went under.2) were certain types of businesses chosen to thrive, while other left in the dust.
Any further renewals were supposed to go before the Legislature every month in order to extend. but this never happened. Why? Because you cannot stop emergency orders when a tyrant doesn't give up her personal privilege.
Dave Robbins, former APS Board Member
When people say, "This is gov't funded program."
That means that it is funded by "We The People."
You cannot take money from someone to bludgeon them with unconstitutional mandates. Also, one group doesn't get to decide how all of the money gets to be used. This is an outdated way of budgeting and spending.
Outlandish spending on wars that do not benefit our own country need to stop.
