- When asked about his stance on legalizing marijuana at a campaign event in South Carolina, Marco Rubio said he does not favor legalization and added “When you legalize something, it’s sending a message that it’s not that harmful.”[2]
- Although Rubio has co-sponsored a Senate bill to ban online gambling, he hinted to the Las Vegas Review-Journal editorial board that he would consider an exception for online poker, the paper reported October 24, 2015. "On the issue of Internet poker, the only difference between the poker games and the others is that it involves an element of skill associated with and compared with just a slot machine online. So that's the one area that distinguishes it a little bit,” Rubio said.[3]
