I am a Dallas-based attorney, community advocate, and lifelong Dallas County resident running for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 5, Place 2. I was born and raised in Oak Cliff and Pleasant Grove, attended school in North Dallas, and currently live about one mile from the courthouse where I am seeking to serve.

I am a practicing civil litigation attorney with experience in Justice of the Peace courts and higher trial courts, working on cases that affect tenants, small businesses, families, and individuals navigating the legal system without attorneys. I earned my undergraduate degree from St. Edward’s University and my law degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

Beyond my legal practice, I have served as a community organizer, poll clerk, and nonprofit board member, and I remain actively involved in organizations focused on access to justice, civil rights, and strengthening trust in local government.
  • am a practicing attorney who was born and raised in the same precinct where I am seeking to serve. I grew up here, was educated here, and continue to live in this community, giving me firsthand knowledge of the people and issues that come before the Justice of the Peace court.
  • I am the son of an immigrant father and a civil-servant mother. I was raised in a hardworking, blue-collar family, which instilled in me a deep respect for work, fairness, and the importance of public service.
  • I am a new candidate entering this race to serve, not for financial gain. I work in a successful private practice, but I am seeking this office to give back to my community and to uphold the Justice of the Peace court’s long-standing tradition of fairness, professionalism, and respect.
As a judicial candidate, I do not set public policy. My responsibility is to apply and interpret the law fairly, impartially, and consistently. Within that role, I am most passionate about access to justice, due process, and ensuring that the court functions as a place of resolution rather than intimidation. I believe courts should be understandable, dignified, and respectful to all parties, especially those navigating the legal system without representation. I am committed to upholding the rule of law with fairness, restraint, and clarity, while ensuring that every person who appears before the court is treated with dignity and afforded a meaningful opportunity to be heard.
Currently, the Mexican-American Bar Association has endorsed my campaign and I am waiting for interviews from other Democratic and civic organizations for endorsement screenings.
