My name is Marcus Jones, and I currently serve as a Systems Administrator at Tinker. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Oklahoma State University and have built my career in technology. Beyond my professional work, I am actively involved in my church where I contribute in multiple roles, including serving on the finance committee and playing drums.

As a lifelong resident of Edmond and a proud graduate of Edmond Public Schools, I am deeply committed to our community and schools. My wife and I have two wonderful daughters who attend EPS which reinforces my dedication to supporting our families, teachers, and students.

I am seeking re-election to the Edmond Public Schools Board of Education District 5, to ensure that a parent's perspective remains represented. With my background in technology, I bring a unique insight to help guide the district's decisions on technology for our students.

  • Community Engagement

    • Engaged openly with Edmond’s parents, teachers, community, and students.

    • Represented the parent perspective in school board discussions and decision-making processes.
  • Enhanced Student Experiences • Advocated for smaller class sizes to improve learning outcomes, supported by bond initiatives. • Encouraged student participation in extracurriculars to boost engagement. Broadened educational options by promoting a wide range of elective courses.
  • Improved Education Quality • Prioritized recruiting and retaining highly qualified educators to strengthen the teaching workforce. • Increased the hiring of counselors and support staff to better address student needs.
My commitment is to continue advocating for policies
that strengthen education while emphasizing transparency, accountability, and collaboration.
Having integrity along with being transparent and accessible.
I worked at Subway at age 15. I held it on and off through college. That experience taught me a lot as I transitioned into my roles in Technology after I graduated college.
