Margaret Cangilos-Ruiz was a bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Northern District of New York. She was appointed to the court on February 16, 2007, and her term expired on February 15, 2021.[1][2][3]

Education

Cangilos-Ruiz earned an undergraduate degree from Cornell University and a J.D. from Albany Law School.[4][1]

Career

Cangilos-Ruiz began her legal career as a law clerk to Chief Bankruptcy Judge Thomas Britton, then Chief Judge Justin J. Mahoney. Prior to joining the court, Cangilos-Ruiz practiced law in Florida and New York.[1]
