Margaret Erler
Margaret Erler is a member of the Stevens Point Area Public School District School Board At-large in Wisconsin. She assumed office in 2014. Her current term ends in 2027.
Erler ran for re-election to the Stevens Point Area Public School District School Board At-large in Wisconsin. She won in the general election on April 3, 2018.
Biography
Erler is a self-employed development consultant. She previously served as president of the Plover Village Board and has served on various other local boards including the United Way of Portage County, the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin, the Portage County Business Council, Portage County Legal Aid, and Ministry Saint Michael’s Hospital.[1][2]

Three of the nine seats on the Stevens Point Area School District school board in Wisconsin were up for at-large general election on April 3, 2018. Incumbents Meg Erler, Judy Rannow, and Mike Wade defeated former member Alex Kochanowski for the at-large seats.[3][4]

2015
Three at-large seats were up for election on April 7, 2015. Incumbents Meg Erler and Angel Faxon sought re-election and faced challengers Samuel Levin and Judy Rannow in the general election. While Erler was successful in her re-election bid, Faxon lost her seat. Levin and Rannow won their first terms on the board.

In an interview with the Stevens Point Journal, Erler stated, "While I've been on the board, I've tried to stress that we need to be able to make business decisions, because in many ways this district is a business. We need to not take things personally and be able to work together to operate the business of our schools."[6]
