Margaret Stewart Harris was the judge for the Harris County Criminal Court at Law No. 5 in Texas from 2003 to 2018.[1] She was elected to the position in 2002.[2]

Harris ran for re-election to the Harris County Criminal Court at Law.
Primary: She ran unopposed in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014.
General: She defeated Ramona Franklin in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 55.4 percent of the vote.[3][4][5]

Harris ran for re-election to the Harris County Criminal Court at Law. She defeated Democrat Alfred Valdez in the general election, winning 57.2% of the vote.[6]

Education

Harris earned a B.S. in psychology from Tulane University in 1982. She went on to receive her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 1986 and was admitted to the state bar that same year.[2]
