What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
The highest responsibility of a Justice of the Court of Appeals is to fairly interpret and apply the law. Courts should rule based on the law. Because the Court of Appeals hears cases from 10 counties in the State of Texas, it is especially important for the justices to practice fairness and integrity. A justice must write careful and deliberate opinions, and work with legal precedence.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I am passionate about justice and fairness for all.
Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?
Ruth Bader Ginsberg, for her representation of women and minorities.
Have you ever been rated by a Bar Association? If so, what was the rating?
I am AV Preeminent Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, by my colleagues and the judiciary.
