Margaret Rush was a 2013 Democratic candidate for District 42 of the South Carolina State Senate.[1]

Rush ran in a special election for South Carolina State Senate District 42. The seat was vacant following Sen. Robert Ford's (D) resignation on May 31, 2013 amidst an ethics investigation. Rush was defeated by Marlon Kimpson and Maurice Washington in the August 13 Democratic primary.[2][1][3]
