Margaret J. Vergeront was the Presiding Judge of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals District IV. She joined this court in 1994 and retired on July 31, 2012.[1][2]

Education

Vergeront earned her B.A. from UW-Madison in 1968 and her J.D. from UW-Madison in 1975.[1]

Career

After law school, Vergeront was a clerk for federal judge James E. Doyle from 1975 to 1976 and was then the Staff Attorney/Managing Attorney for Legal Action of Wisconsin. After working for Legal Action until 1984, she worked in private practice for ten years. Vergeront joined the Wisconsin Court of Appeals in 1994 and her last term on the court will expire on July 31, 2012.[1]
