Biography
Fratila earned an M.B.A. from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, an M.B.A.M. and H.R.D. from Webster University, and an M.S. in horticulture and agriculture from the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest.[1][2]
As of her 2017 run for office, Fratila was an investor, principal, founder, and manager for the real estate investment firm MG&ED, LLC, and the owner of the flower shop European Floral Designs. She has also served as a member of the U.S. Senatorial Inner Circle and the Republican National Committee's Republican Senatorial Inner Circle.[1][3]

Former Mayor Dan McQueen, who won election to the position on November 8, 2016, and was sworn in on December 13, 2016, resigned from office in January 2017. On her campaign postcard, Fratila said, "As your chosen Mayor, I will analyze the budget and search for every possible way to fix our streets and infrastructure without increasing taxes. It's time to end the nonsense at City Hall."[2]
In response to a question from KRIS-TV about her campaign priorities, Fratila said, "My priority will be clean water. I will talk to the water department, and I will get to the bottom of the problems because it's always like putting a band-aid - the problem is not solved."[10]
