I am a professional who understands how to achieve results. My legislative proposals are life-changing and pragmatic: investment in our energy sector, financial protection for our elderly, and a reimagined education for our students. As a former restaurateur, professor and court administrator, as well as a proud business owner, I know how to meet targets. My experience with state and local government is extensive. I will forge partnerships to preserve North Carolina’s natural beauty and strengthen our freedoms.
  • Energy - Ensure first-rate, reliable electrical service in North Carolina
  • Elderly - Respect and care for the elderly , in need since COVID
  • Education - Expand world class education to all North Carolina high school and college students
I love North Carolina. I greatly care for the people in my community. I am running to ensure first-rate, reliable electrical service in North Carolina. Energy is the lifeblood of our economy. The electrical grid is fragile. We have to modernize our system to protect against foreign attacks and natural disasters. I am proposing a property tax waiver for all North Carolinians, 65 years or older, on their primary legal residence. Because of trauma endured during 2-years of COVID, escalating inflation, a devalued U.S. currency, fixed incomes, and increasing home assessed valuations, I will diligently pursue a property tax waiver for hard-working seniors. Schools, working with parents, need the resources and flexibility to offer a more challenging, interesting and relevant curriculum: in-person, summertime, low teacher-pupil ratios for struggling students; more electives – Robotics, Shop, Horticulture, Cooking, Computers, Theater, Painting, Orchestra, Baseball, Finance, Language; trade school and science/technology/engineering/healthcare pathways to professional licensure; the prioritization of North Carolina citizens for undergraduate/graduate admissions; and, global partnerships for study abroad for all North Carolina university students.
