Marguerite Davis
Marguerite H. Davis was a judge on the Florida First District Court of Appeal.[1] She was appointed to this position in 1993 and retired on February 28, 2013.[2]
Education
Marguerite Davis graduated from the University of South Florida in 1968 and went on to receive her law degree from Florida State University in 1971. She is married with two children.[1]
Career
Marguerite Davis began her legal career in 1971 as a Senior Legal Aid on the Florida Supreme Court. She held this position until 1985. During this time, from 1982 to 1984, she was also the executive assistant to the Chief Justice. From 1985 to 1987, she worked for the law firm Swann & Haddock. In 1987, she became a partner in the law firm Katz, Kutter, Haigler, Alderman, Davis & Marks. She worked there until her appointment to the Court of Appeals in 1993.[1]
Elections
Davis was retained by voters in 1996,[3] 2002,[4] and 2008.[5]
