Biography
Maria Aceves earned a bachelor's degree from Southern Methodist University in 2010. Aceves earned a law degree from the Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law in 2013. Aceves' career experience includes working as an attorney at Aceves Law, PLLC. Aceves is an active member of the Mac Taylor Inn of Court, the Dallas Bar Association, the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, and the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association. Aceves is also board secretary for Avance North Texas.[1]

- Fairness- Regarding my dedication to fairness, I have represented individuals on both sides of the docket starting off as a defense lawyer and then switching over to the plaintiff's side. As such, I will be a fair and impartial jurist.
- Access- I will provide access by instituting technological innovations including remote hearings. I will also provide access by instituting a court that is fully bilingual and accessible to Spanish-speaking litigants. Furthermore, I will provide access by instituting internship programs for our youth including high school, college and law students. Lastly, I will provide access by partnering with Legal Aid clinics so that our pro se litigants have access to legal representation.
- Efficiency- As to efficiency, I plan to keep the docket moving so that your tax paying dollars are put to good use. This will be done by making prompt and fair rulings, signing orders and moving cases along.
