Gutzeit ran for re-election to the Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency Board of Directors to represent Division 3 in California. Gutzeit won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Gutzeit was a 2016 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 25th Congressional District of California.[1] She withdrew from the race on January 21, 2016.[2]

California's 25th Congressional District was a battleground district in 2016. Incumbent Stephen Knight (R) won re-election to his second term in 2016. He defeated Bryan Caforio (D) in the general election on November 8, 2016. Knight and Caforio defeated Jeffrey Moffatt (R) and Lou Vince (D) in the top-two primary on June 7, 2016.[3][4][5][6][7][8]
