Maria Revelles, Co-Director , was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Madrid, Spain. Her life has been marked as a fighter for social justice and equality while raising her six kids . With a history of successful organizing campaigns since the early 1990s, she has led efforts with various labor unions including the UFCW, UNITE Union, USW, and SEIU 1199, focusing on diversity, education, and solidarity projects. Globally she has worked with in educational initiatives with Haiti , Dominican Republic and Ukraine among others .She has served in various leadership roles within community organizations in Puerto Rico , Syracuse, New York, and currently lives in Central Florida where her community work has engaged diverse sector such as faith congregations and grassroots leaders to disrupt systems that hurts our communities , Maria continuously advocates for the Puerto Rican Diaspora and minorities in Central Florida, prioritizing issues such as labor rights, education, women's equality, voting rights, climate justice, and immigrant rights. As the first Latina on the Board of the Housing Authority of Syracuse and the first Syracuse Board Member of Somos El Futuro, Maria Revelles continues to pave the way
