Campaign themes
2014
Moskowitz's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[1]
Education
- Excerpt: "The government of the past four years hasn’t prioritized education from Pre-K to higher education. Teachers have lost their jobs and the quality of our schooling has suffered unnecessarily. We need to ensure that education has adequate funding and, rather than always being threatened with cuts, thrives under systems of fair funding. Full and fair education will give our students the skills they need to succeed and will in turn feed our economy."
Economy
- Excerpt: "The economy is another of our central challenges. As a business woman, I can see that Pennsylvania is a good investment and we need to give the people of our state the resources to succeed. Through quality education, funding of infrastructure projects, and ensuring equal opportunities we will not only solve many of our basic challenges, but build the fundamentals of a robust state economy."
Equality
- Excerpt: "This gets to the heart of the problem. For the past four years this government has been dividing us rather than bringing us together. There is no place for intolerance and unfair legislation when we have so many other challenges. We need more women in the legislature, protection of LGBT and voting rights, and a legislature that fights for women’s rights."
