A Marianna City Electric Franchise Referendum question was defeated on the April 9, 2013 election ballot in Jackson County, which is in Florida.
If approved, this measure would have approved the purchase of property within the city limits owned by Florida Public Utilities Company if the City Council came to believe that this purchase would be beneficial to the price and level of service of the electricity supply in the City.[1]
