Marianne Espinosa
Marianne Espinosa was a judge of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division, Part D. She was elevated to this position effective August 1, 2009.[1] Espinosa retired in 2017.[2]
Education
Judge Espinosa received her education at New York University and Rutgers School of Law-Newark.[3]
Career
Judge Espinosa was appointed to the Superior Court by then-acting Gov. Richard J. Codey and took her oath of office on July 22, 2005. She served two separate terms in the Superior Court including in the civil and criminal divisions in Union Vicinage and in the civil, criminal, and family divisions in Morris/Sussex Vicinage. Espinosa was assigned temporarily to the Appellate Division.
She served on the Supreme Court Civil Practice and Criminal Model Jury Charge Committees.
In addition to her judicial career, Judge Espinosa was an assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey, a deputy state attorney general, assistant counsel to an insurance company, and a lawyer in private practice."[3]
