Marie DuFresne
Marie DuFresne was a candidate for justice of the peace for the Virginia Township Justice Court in Nevada.
Education
DuFresne earned an associate degree in criminal justice from Western Nevada College in 1993. She went on to complete her bachelor's degree in criminal justice at the University of Nevada, Reno, in 1995, and earned a master's degree in educational counseling from the University of Phoenix in 2003.[1]
Career
At the time of her candidacy, DuFresne worked as a school counselor for the Lyon County School District.[2]
Elections
2012
DuFresne ran for justice of the peace on the Virginia Township Justice Court. She competed against Jack McGuffey, Eileen Herrington, and Tom Redican in the primary election on June 12, 2012. She was defeated in the primary by Eileen Herrington, Jack McGuffey, and Tom Redican, receiving 10.43% of the vote.[3]
